One of our favourite performances last year was at an Open Day event for the Oldland Windmill near Keymer in East Sussex, and we're looking forward to being back again on 6 September this year.
This is a restored windmill high on the South Downs between Keymer and Ditchling which is lovingly preserved by volunteer effort. In early September each year the mill puts on an open day with music and refreshments (especially great cakes!!).
We had fun last year playing a couple of acoustic slots during the day. We expected to be providing background music as people wandered round but in fact we drew an appreciative crowd who, a bit to our surprise, stopped to listen and applaud and even dance.
We like to think it was our music that drew people in, not our location next to the barbecue.
